A DUO Padlock Operated Bolt is a locking bolt that can be locked using any of a number of common padlocks

e.g. Lockwood 234/45 and the padlock (not supplied) is protected by a guard when locked.

 

Model PLBW employs the locking padlock as its operating handle to move the locking bolt

from an unlocked position to a locked position and vice versa.

The padlock may also be used to lock the bolt in an open position.

The current model PLBW has a stainless steel locking bolt assembly, including a rotatable 19mm diameter solid stainless steel bar

that extends around 65mm beyond the forend of the body housing to lock into a locking post or door jamb.

The body housing footprint is substantially unchanged and continues to be supplied

with a hot dip galvanised corrosion resistant coating.

 

 

Model PLBW may be welded to a steel gate or door.

With the addition of an XT kit a PLBW may be installed to a gate or door or roller door or grille with M8 metal thread fasteners.

 

Keeper plate PLB/RP5 and floor socket PLB/FS continue to be supplied

as optional ancillary products.

To lock a door or gate in an open position – a PLB/WB60 wall bracket may be installed.

 

The PLBW guard makes interference with the padlock significantly more difficult.

As there is no operating handle there is limited means by which persons may interfere with the locking bolt.

 

Model PLBW is manufactured from stainless steel and mild steel that is hot dip galvanised.
